Military Deployment

Per Public Law 117-328, Section 3691A, colleges and universities are obligated to provide special consideration to students who are deployed by the military. Upon the VA Specialist’s receiving a copy of the student’s active duty orders, this consideration includes:

Counting the student's absence as excused. The student will not be administratively withdrawn by a Faculty member; unless, the student requests to be withdrawn.
Opportunity to make up any work missed.
Options to continue coursework where feasible.
Options to receive a temporary grade of 'I' by following the Incomplete Grade Policy.
Ability to drop the course with no grade penalty and no financial penalty if the student is unable to meet the above options.
