PED 260 Lifeguard Training
This course covers the skills knowledge and techniques of lifesaving and lifeguarding. Topics include identifying and minimizing aquatic hazards recognizing and effectively rescuing people in distress and developing safety skills. Upon completion students should be able to demonstrate skills knowledge and techniques of lifesaving and lifeguarding to pass American Red Cross lifeguarding certification. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement. This course has been approved for transfer under the ICAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
