2024-2025 College Catalog

Faculty Advisors

Students who are seeking degrees in Associate in Fine Arts, Associate in Engineering, Associate in Applied Science, Diplomas and Certificates are assigned to a faculty advisor after their onboarding appointment in Student Services. Students who are in Associate in Arts and Associate in Science transfer programs transition to general education faculty advisors from Student Services advisors after their first year. Students meet with their faculty advisor to discuss and update career plans, review educational goals, make course selections, and determine college transfer options. Faculty advisors are also available to provide academic support and guidance to their advisees, including referral to academic and student support services. When making decisions about course selection, students need to be familiar with the Mitchell Catalog, the course requirements of their programs of study and course sequencing, and are responsible for making final decisions on academic matters. To locate a faculty advisor’s contact information, a student should view their Student Profile in Watermark SSE/Aviso or Self-Service or search by last name from the Mitchell Community College website directory
